Second Class Smoking Room Return to Diagram

Though not quite as luxurious as the first class smoking room, this room, decorated in the Louis XVI period, was beautiful just the same. It featured oak paneling, carved oak newel posts, leaded class windows, and comfortable oak chairs upholstered in dark green Moroccan leather. Second class passenger Lawrence Beesley, stated later that he fell asleep twice sitting in one of the smoking room chair's. This room was located on B Deck above the 2nd class library. The main entrance was in front of the second class elevator and stairs and it had doors that led to the port and starboard promenade decks.
