Titanic actually had 2 barber
shop's. The 1st class barber was located on the port
side C Deck next to the aft 1st class stairway and the
2nd class barber was on E Deck in the center of the ship
between the 2nd class elevator's and cabin E82. The
barber shops also served as gift shops selling a few
toys, dolls, (seen hanging from the ceiling) and candy.
There were a few assorted souvenirs such as
penknives, banners, magazines, pens and pencils, hats, tobacco, pipes, and ribbons
with RMS Titanic embroidered on them. According
to a surviving maid's account, the barber shop's were sort of a "hang out" for the
passenger's maid's and valet's when there were no
customers in them.
